About Lake Jackson EMS

Serving Our Community

Lake Jackson Emergency Medical Service (LJEMS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is contracted by the City of Lake Jackson to provide emergency ambulance services to the citizens of Lake Jackson. The City of Lake Jackson covers approximately 26 square miles and is located approximately 50 miles south of Houston on Highway 288.

Lake Jackson EMS provides 911 ambulance coverage to its citizens as well as emergency/non-emergency interfacility transports to neighboring hospitals. LJEMS has 4 MICU units in its fleet with 3 Mobile Intensive Care/Advanced Life Support units staffed 24/7/365 which are dispatched by the Lake Jackson Police Department Communications Center. LJEMS is staffed by 40+ paramedics and EMTs (full & part-time) responding to over 5,000+ calls per year.

In addition to providing emergency medical services, Lake Jackson EMS is dedicated to providing outreach education to the citizens of Lake Jackson. Our outreach education program currently offers a wide variety of courses/instruction including American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid, ACLS/PALS, 10-Minute CPR, Stop-the-Bleed/Bleeding Control & Tourniquet application courses, and many other continuing education opportunities which are held throughout the year. Lake Jackson EMS provides these types of educational opportunities to better prepare citizens in the event of an unexpected emergency.
